Why the new program?
Because we love our loyal customers! Our new loyalty program allows you to earn points for prepared drink AND bulk coffee purchases all on one card. This eliminates the need for two separate paper cards, which can be easily lost or damaged. Another benefit of the new program is that you can add earned points if you've forgotten your card, and points can be retained even if you've lost your card. You will be able to check your points balance at any time, and you have the ability to add a cash value to the card to use it as a gift card.
Where can I use my card?
You can use your card to earn or redeem points at any participating Alterra Coffee retail location. (We are sorry but cards may not be used at the Mitchell International Airport locations, for online orders or wholesale purchases.)

Why should I register for the Alterra Loyalty Program?

I don't have internet access to register my card. Can I still participate in the loyalty program?
Our customer service department would be happy to assist you. Please call 414.273.3747 during regular business hours (M-F, 8am - 5pm) and we'll activate your card for you. Please note that activating card in this way does not provide access to all program benefits. Activation supports point redemption and the birthday coffee program, however, you will not receive insider news, special offers, or points transfers to lost/stolen cards.
I forgot my card. Can I still earn points?
If you forget your loyalty card when visiting one of our participating locations you can still get your points! Request a printed receipt, log in to your loyalty account and enter the receipt information. Your points will then be added to your account. NOTE: Receipt transfers cannot take place until the day following a transaction and must be completed within one week. Only one receipt transfer per week is allowed.
I lost my card. How can I replace it without losing the points I've earned?
Grab a new card at any participating Alterra café. Log in to your account and enter the new card number. Your old card will be deactivated and your registration and loyalty points will be transferred to the new card. Note: this process will deactivate and empty your old card of all loyalty points and registration info. We cannot transfer to a card that is already registered. Gift Card balances on lost or stolen cards cannot be retained or transferred.
How do I earn points?
Points are accrued for purchases, at an Alterra retail location, of all prepared beverages and coffee by-the-bag at a rate of 1 point per $.01 spent. (Before sales tax)
How do I redeem my points?
Your card must be activated or registered to redeem points. Points are redeemable at a rate of 12 points per $.01 for all prepared beverages and bulk coffee. EXAMPLE: 1 large coffee costs $2, so you must earn 2400 points to redeem loyalty for a free large coffee. Note: your card will be available for loyalty point redemption within 24 hours after registering. Points have no cash value and can be redeemed only once enough points have been earned to cover the full cost of menu items.
What about my old paper punch card?
Old paper punch cards are no longer accepted.
How do I get my birthday gift?
In order to qualify for a free bag of coffee on your birthday, you must be an activated or registered user and accrue 20,000 points in a 12-month period. An email will be sent to the registered address to notify you that your gift is available. This gift will entitle you to a bag of bulk coffee from any participating Alterra café.
Can lost Gift Cards be replaced?
No, lost or stolen Gift Cards cannot be replaced but any loyalty points accrued on the cards can be transferred. Please treat your Alterra Gift Card like cash
Do Gift Cards expire?
Gift Cards expire 3 years after 24 months of consecutive non-use. Cards carry no value until purchased and activated.

Does Alterra disclose Registered Loyalty User information to outside parties?

Why does Alterra request personal info for card registration?
We ask that you create a user profile in order to protect your points and secure your card. Providing this information also makes you eligible for your free bag of birthday coffee. If you prefer not to provide this information, you can call our Sales Support office at 414-273-3747 to have your card activated. (Activation supports point redemption and the birthday coffee program, however, you will not receive insider news, special offers, or points transfers to lost/stolen cards.)
